Greetings from Vancouver

Finally after a good year of searching I have found a Hurricane I could afford! It's only small. Made by a company called Lucas where I live in Vancouver (well a suburb of Vancouver called Richmond) Lucas made the original Hurricane. Hurricane Rescue Boats bought Lucas out in the late 80s, then Zodiac took them over shortly after. The boat I have is called a Lucas H400 which is the same as a Hurricane 440. It has a great little 2 stroke 4 cylinder merc that runs like a dream. I plan to do a full resto on it. so far I have done all necessary engine maintenance, and have repaired and re-gel coated the hull and transom. I will start a build thread and post pictures.

here is is when I bought it... oxidized and ugly!

More to come! here is a peek at the re done hull

Welcome to Rib Net - lovely part of the world you live in. Have done some boating up in the San Juan Islands. and have promised myself some boating around Vancouver Island. Good luck with the restoration.

Looking forward to the further pics of the refurb. Great place for boating. An old friend of mine lives on Quadra Island just of Campbell Town on Vancouver Island.

Welcome
You have a good looking boat to explore the BC coast.
There is so much to see- just study the charts for the rocks.
have fun

Was the falling snow added after the original post? I don't remember seeing that before.
