Greetings

Hello I have registered today but have been reading RIBnet for a while.

Thank you regular posters for educating me to date.

I used a small zodiac on the river Ouse in Cambridgeshire.

Now my nearest river is the Thames in the East.

Cheers

Big welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find it helpful and supportive. I'm sure the sib boys will be along shortly to welcome you to their brotherhood. Happy sibbing and be safe. J

Welcome RR. The Ouse is our local river... been about there for many decades since a kid. Prefer the sea but we do keep a 4hp just for river use.

So where will you use the SIB now?

Cheers Jambo

Fenlander - I've read some of your posts mentioning the Ouse. I have lived in St Ives & Houghton where I used to put boats in. Also Wilburton and used the boat club stage at Huntingdon and slipway to launch and at Ely.

Now the boats in storage. Car won't carry it. My experience on Thames limited to training on Rib for L2 powerboat at Yacht club. Would need to upgrade for use on Thames.

I can see you really enjoy your boating.

>>>I can see you really enjoy your boating.

It's been a constant in my life for near on 56yrs and I'm grateful I still get the same pleasure leaving a pontoon or slipway in the SIB as I did setting off in much larger craft for longer adventures years ago.
