Don from Denmark - bringing loads of problems :)

You read it right! I got cancersick and tired of western societies self invented facebookproblems, so decided to close my profile, cablecut the news - and bought a used Zodiac 12 MAN pro and a Mariner 60 EFI Bigfoot. And if I thought it would be a sweeeet ride to paradise - boy o boy was I wrong. I have had, or created just about EVERY problem in the book, with this combo!

It takes water in over transom - check
It takes in water inside the hull - check
It's too heavy in the rear, but theoretically could take a 80kg heavier engine - cheeeeck
I have a over RPM alarm with 2 solidly build men, and water in the hull, but ehhh... not newly drained, alone, sunny day, flat water - check

But she is mine, and I love her.

I had a similar problem with a Zodizc 550 and 50hp Yamaha and lots of gear aboard.
Fitting wings to the cavitation plate of the engine fixed the problem.

She now comes up on the plane at about 8kn and then jumps to 13kn.
The wings are made by Lazilas, and available from Force4 and Marinescene

Thanks man!
Yeah, the first time it made 6 beeps at startup, and ran rough and stalled, I could have curled up and sucked my moms t.. or something.. never mind.
"IT CAN'T BE FIXED!!"
"YOU NEED A COMPUTER TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT!!!"

But F... me, my buddy and I read the service manual, found out MAP, MAT or TPS sensors, are the only ones that can trigger 6 beeps. So we started out from one end, measuring them out, changed TPS - and WROOOOMM HA! Eat that Mercury dealer!

SWEET buddy! I had precisely hydrofoils or trimtaps on my mind, but thought it might not fix my water over transome problem - but it fixed yours you say? It's so annoying, it has two TWO! speeds 3 knots or 30 knots - anything in-between it freaking tries to drown itself.
Being from Denmark, I newer heard of those wings, or THAT brand, have you seen or tried others? And at what hole are your engine mounted?

The wings are available from www.force4.co.uk product code 630016. These are good up to 50hp, there are larger models for up to 300hp. Search their website for Hydrofoils
They do work, and they can be used to assist in getting someone out of the water if you have an electric tilt function on their engine.
