40hp upgrade to 60hp?

I am looking to upgrade from my 40hp four stroke on a 4.5 metre ribeye as it strugles to get above 22knots, I have repropped and experimented with and without a dol fin.
Any suggestions/advice gratefully recieved. I have a leed on a rebuilt 6Ohp fourstroke
Should I take the plunge or can I upgrade my present engine?

Hello

Your engine will not upgrade to a 60, weather you want to buy a rebuilt engine or not is up to you. If the price is right its an option.

I'd be interested in your 40 if it's a short shaft?
