Tuesday 17 March 1.30 onwards

Am planning to have an afternoon off work on this day & take the boat out as the tides are good & hopefully the weather will be better .

Me , 7.5m boat , 200hp - seems a shame to waste on just me.

Anyone want to come out - probably head up the solent - swift one in Cowes and back ?

All weather dependant !

It's not that, it's just that it's Paddy's Day... and there will be other business in hand

I'd love to join you but a bad day at work today (IT problems and staff illness) means that there's rather a lot of work to catch up on.

Are you sure about the tides, though? My calculations give a Low near Spring tide tomorrow for Christchurch Entrance at 15.30. You should get out OK but that's either going to be a helluva fast trip to Cowes and back with a very swift drink or normal speed there and back and several slow drinks at Cowes (and probably Yarmouth and Lymington in between) and a wait before you get back in just after dark!

PM me your number and if I can make it I'll give you a call.

Now THAT'S a better tide! And it then really is St Patrick's day. As a non-Irish Celt, I have no objection to celebrating the festival in the manner in which it should be done!

Have pencilled it in - subject to weather and work but looks good at the moment.

David
