I've spent a fair bit of time kicking round the marina in Los Gig over the years but I don't recall anything like real rib hire, either advertised or operating. Moreover, there were precious few ribs berthed.

In fairness, there were a few tiny RIBlets with put-puts available to hire, but they were just glorified tenders...

Hi Wilks,yep saw those..just returned from Tenerife,they worried me actually! I imagined a novice hirer losing the outboard and being flat packed against the rocks or rolled by a big breaker..thats speaking as an RYA Advanced Instructor of course! Thanks for the reply Wilks,there is an RYA Centre at Port Colon..I will have a chat with them...might even get a few days teaching,leaving the wife to sunbathe ATB Tony
