I got myself in a pickle. I have guaranteed a buoy and trailer storage bar two days of my holiday. I could book a marina berth for the whole holiday but they can't store the trailer and my campground doesn't have the storage either.

Please help with ideas.
You must telephone here:

The place is near Manerba.
J think that in this place they have trailer storage ;-)

Many thanks. I actually spoke to them several weeks ago, and they only do monthly storage. There has been a further mistake by our travel agent such that our extra days weren't booked even though I paid for them. Anyway I got my refund and now don't have a boat/trailer shortage problem. But unfortunately also less time in my favourite place :-(

keep an eye out for Boomerang end of July til early august. Are you on VHF mark? I could pm you my mmsi etc.

Thanks again.

Hi there,

i have been in Pacengo in the beginning of June. The campside "Camping le Palme".
100 meters from that, there is a very clean marina. It is the marina of Pacengo.
A very comfortable slip and also a lift .
The bouys are to rent from the campground. The trailer could be stored on campground for something around 5 euros the day, or just 100 meters from the marina, on the way to it, there is an open parking space , where the trailer could be stored.

I liked that place very much.

Mike

Local wind conditions

Hi

My son is off tomorrow to Lake Garda sailing RS Fevas

He will be based at YC Aquafresca Brenzone

He is trying to find out about localised weather patterns. Can anyone with local knowledge give him some advice or point him in the right direction.

Thanks

Jon

Lake Garda has rules and they are enforced

O yes they do. I have been there several times over period of two summers on a yacht, 300hp Corvette speed boat and a 40hp rental boat. Attn: You can only "drive" 40hp and below if you dont have a licence. I think I saw the police (Carabinieri) every time I went out. I saw them once chase a sea cat, which was pretty cool to see. Also I heard last summer that there is somekind of "drink and sailing" thing going on with them now so they are stopping boats for papers and also sometimes just to see if the driver is sober.

A lot of (well a few) people die there every year, last summer a heard of a diver that got killed as some tourist could not read the bouyees correctly. Also a guy started to tank his speed boad, smoking and the boat exploded, killing all onboard and along with injuring two other boat crews waiting in line.

Here is my favorite spot. On the northern part of Sirmione is a beach which is the coolest place on the lake to relax. Either in the boat itself or just tie-ing the matress to the boat and float. Here is a link to it, you can see a video of the place in the bottom video (scroll down). http://www.desenzanoitaly.com/sirmione_lake_garda.html
