Zodiac MK II Grand Raid material

I am going to undertake repair of my Zodiac Grand Raid. Its hypalon built in the 80's.

I need to remove and glue back in one end cone like that shown at
http://www.rib.net/forum/f8/fix-rubb...int-71838.html

Does anyone know if the black cone is PVC or hypalon?

I also need to repair the hull bladder. Its flexible in parts and a little stiff in other places. Is this hypalon or PVC?

The black cone is plastic, possibly polyurethane. They’re good pictures for gluing. I’ve done the same repair myself years ago. Preparation is everything, plus right ambient temperature.

Regards hull bladder, given yours is a MKII GR I’d say it was hypalon too. I did the repair on a Zodiac GT which was PVC. The joint fails at the transom end as it’s a thermal bond, well it was on the GT.

More details here: http://www.rib.net/forum/f50/zodiac-...irs-52694.html

Good luck with the repair.

Thank you for the reply.
Any suggestions for the glue to use for hypalon on plastic?

Factory procedure is done with hypalon glue. Got one in my shop now and it is not a Pvc end cone.
