What's the difference between an F470 and an FC 470?

Floorboard Dimensions for F470

I have a 1987 F470 and I am looking for the dimensions of the floorboards and any information on sizing or where I can get used stringers and floorboards other than at Zodiac as I understand they are very expensive. I have seen a few posts of people that have floor boards and can obtain the dimensions and I was wondering if any of you could send those my way. My F470 is a 15.47 ft / 4.7 M length vessel 1987 F470NAVIC P. I appreciate any assistance in locating used floor boards or any suggestions for making my own floor boards. Dimensions of the different boards and type of wood and thickness of would...all greatly appreciated.

All I can say is that the length of the floor is extremely important. If it's even just a little bit too short, it won't stretch out the floor fabric and at speed, the hull will be hooked, resulting in a nose down attitude, bow steering, and plenty of stress on the hull.

For ride quality, how does the inflatable floor or roll-up plank floor compare to the aluminum on these boats?

The rollup floor handles a little more sloppy than the aluminum deck. With rollup deck and the tubes and keel at 3.5 psi, you can definitely feel everything wiggle a little bit when cresting the top of a wave. The major factor is the rollup floor does not lock in and form a solid, tensioned connection between the transom and the thrustboard. The aluminum deck does...hence the teepee installation procedure.

I have no complaints though. I've had my 470 NAVIC-P rollup floor equipped boat out in small craft advisories a few times with no issues. It is a wet ride, but a stable one.

The planing ability still amazes me.

Did not know that. Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!
