Can I have another wee say in the thread Willk.. but yup..even in the hills I have my survival bag..its a MUST have for me.

My brother (same one who rescued me in Kayak) took this photo last winter..yup..thats me near the very top. I honestly have a PLB in my pocket.. but I forgot the safety rope

My point being.. with limited cash .. make sure the boat is safe ..including engine (s) .. then you reduce the need for things like PLBs..which may or may not save you..even if you have them.

I donít thing the MRT would have thought I was well prepared for the climb.. even though I had a PLB in my pocket.

They are great things though..and I do carry mine.. I guess my next purchace..will be a rope..or dry suit.. cant make up my mine yet.

Please note..Im not making fun of safety equipment.. it is worth its weight in gold.. I carry mine. I will also add that I'm a very experienced solo rock climber. I dont think Im in any danger in the attached photo..but do slip on the ice on that cliff.. and my brother will be scattering my ashes off Millport.
