Anyone else or are you carrying on to enjoy those crisp mornings with glassy seas that reward the all season SIB'ber?
Fortunately for me, I live near the Oregon coast, which is fairly mild all winter. I keep my sib (3.8 C3) running all year for crabbing, pleasure, etc. I may go a month without getting out, but am ready to go whenever I can!

The doelfin caused undo stress on the back portion of the cav plate and cracked it off right at the housing. Not very good for a brand new motor in July. Either trading up to a 90hp tohatsu or trading boat in for a 15 man zodiac rib in spring.

Sorry to hear about that bronco. I've heard reports of doelfins having that effect, but never heard of one first hand. I had gone back and forth between the doelfin (had one on a previous motor with no ill effects) and smart tabs. I ended up using the smart tabs.

Anyways, enjoy the boating and fishing in my favorite state! (I spent 5 years in Kodiak).

but it was needed as a display boat at the RNLI reindeer run fundraising event yesterday over in Leeds ,

So out it came and its now rolled up in the back of my car covered in mud and i carnt be arsed getting it out of the back at the moment as its snowing ,,
did put one of the oars to use earlier this morning scraping ice of the car windscreen .

Quick up date,
As i am unlikely to be using it now until next year and i need the space in the car ,,i now Can be arsed ,,so removed all the boards / ropes /shackels/ inflated it up ,
as we dont have a garage its now stood up on its side inside the summer house, and just started washing the ropes ect to be dried for next time .
.

Mine lives on it's trailer year around ready to go at a moments notice. Fall is also our best time of the year to go diving, which is why I own my boat. Had it out a couple of days ago...Hope to get out again this coming weekend.
