What kit do you carry on your SIB?

Heads up on some very good value used Peli clones below. Found these while looking for a smaller alternative to my 1550, these are a little too small for my use as I need to get an anchor inside but will be ideal if you have less kit to carry and a fraction of the price of a new Peli the same size:

Interesting that you put an anchor inside your peli, does that not result in your delicates getting Covered in salty dirt? Could you attach some clips to outside with some bungee to hold it with your kit but separate?

No, it's wrapped in an old waterproof padded prop bag and is bone dry - haven't actually needed to use it in five years of SIBing! Just as well as it's the much despised grapnel, keep meaning to get a 2kg Bruce...

Finally picked up a 1500 but slightly too small for my stuff after all, so sticking with the 1550.

1500 will be for sale if anyone is interested.

just re-done mine all in two flare boxes.
plus i carry a dry bag with PLB, phone, food water etc.

We use these at work, and thought they may be ideal to keep onboard as emergency food.

Can anyone recommend what size of fender to use with a 3.8 SIB? I took on some barnacles today.....and they won!!

Have seen 18" ( 450mm ) ones on eblag.

as good as anything is rubber door mats from B&Q couple of quid each tie wrap on on rope last for ages and can be cut to go right round the bow we use them whilst inspecting jetty piles.

This is my current grab/survival case I'm not going to list all the items I'm just explain a few items that may not clear in the pics: the mini mess tin is a mini salt water distiller kit, spare long range hang held vhf radio aerials, military strobe light, the small plastic see through tub is a full fishing kit, CD in the lid is a good cheap signal mirror an extensive first aid kit with sutures and hermostats is in the plastic zip lock bag along with basic dual band mobile phone and spare batteries, Vaseline (not just for medical use it can be used for fire starting and waterproofing and servicing survival kit) I tend to use a mini fishing rod more than the standard ones when fishing off the SIB so I keep that in the case with feathers and lures, A big kit admittedly but I do often camp on small bays only accessible by boat. I'm into bushcraft and survival so my grab case is orientated that way.

It's likely there and I can't see it but do you have a Barton Clam Seal? Handy bit of kit to carry imo

it does look like you carry sanitary towels you are well prepared I only ever carried a half bottle of vodka and 4 cans of diet irnbru

I keep that grab box at bushcraft and survival camps as well, the sanitary towels make the best large wound packing and dressings as well as good for fire lighting when you have nothing else for tinder

The mini carry out, all you need along with a couple of Gregg sausage rolls surely? Half the boaters on loch lomond live on that diet Friday and Saturday. The other half forgot the sausage rolls!
