water proof storage on a sib

I am looking for somewhere safe to store my electric air pump, tool kit safety kit ,radio fishing tackle etc on my sib just in case of waves coming in or flipping over,anything is possible.Thought about seat bags,bow bags ,even big plastic boxes anything that i can strap down.

Check previous topics on this, eg see 'what kit do you carry on your SIB' linked in the sticky above. Pelicase for the important stuff, drybag for clothes, food etc.

I have an underseat bag and a couple of dry bags. I clip the dry bags to the all around rope with karabiners. Wouldn't want to lose lunch in the chop.

One dry bag is a 30l draper that I got for a tenner

the other is a 30l cheap chinease ebay special that I got for £3.

Heavy/vaulable stuff in the Draper, Jumpers etc in the cheapo.

My under seat is a sunsport that I got for £ 30 in the middle of winter. Nice foam seat cushion too.

Hi SIBer the underseat bag looks good for storage and i believe they are detachable from the seat cushion,I have been looking at Bow bags on ebay from the USA.
bartiny,your waterproof toolbox looks good too,is that better than a pelicase?just want something completely waterproof for phones cameras radios etc

In our SR4, I have a plastic former olive storage barrel. Grey , tough and water tight. It's strapped to the seat back. Spot on. :-)

Sorry for the late reply, I have been getting ready for a few days camping and sibbing at Shell Island

I do not know enough about Pelicases except that they are pricey.

My 28" Fat Max is Very strong, Light weight, Waterproof, and I think the 28" one will have more than enough room for your equipment.

Yes my underseat bag is detatchable. Its not waterproof to survive a dunking but internal contents have never got wet.
Its like this one but mine zips to the seat.

Not olive oil. Olives, I had to wash bits of the blighters out. I'll send a pic, it's the biz for very little money.

Mollers your olive barrel sounds good where do i get one from,and what do i do with all the olives?
I have a large ish electric pump what do i put it in fat max would be ideal if it fits,may be off with the boat for its first trip next week.

No good. A bona fide water butt wont have a waterproof lid. It needs to be a former storage/transport container with a screw on lid.

Thanks Chris, Glad I could put the toolbox to a good use eventually instead of taking valuable cupboard space up in the house, I still have a few little things I have in mind to do to the boat, one, is rig the boat up with 12 volt electric supply & use my tool box for the battery storage etc, Car Stereo, Fish finder and what ever else I fancy, lol, I bought the boat solely for fishing so trying to set it up as home sweet home away from home, lol
