Trailer for Bombard C4

Can anyone recommend a good trailer suitable for a a Bombard C4? I have been offered a boat for a very good price but will need a trailer as it is too time consuming to keep setting it up and packing it away for each use.

Going by photos I have seen online, a lot of Bombard C3 and C4 boats seem to be kept on normal boat trailers rather than on bunked trailers. Is this due to the wooden keels or would a bunked trailer still be better?

Hi, Good question, as you can see by the photos below mine is an unbunked trailer, but my 3.8mtr Humber SIB has a solid wooden keel so all I did was buy a "topper style" trailer, I think they are used for sailing dinghies I fit a front roller as a keel support and to ease loading and unloading and kept the wooden block transom support and shaped it to suit my transom bottom photo probably can't see it as it is all black

The key for me is the wooden block that the transom sits on is full width of transom then I have 2 rather substantial ratchet straps securing it so it will not move.

I have also fit a roller on the transom support so I can load/unload single handed, notice (load/unload) I do not use the trailer for launch/recovery just for transportation.

A couple more pics

I have moved the boat slightly forward so that you can see better.

To me the block, wooden keel, wooden floor, tubes pumped up and the front roller makes the whole thing very solid.

Excellent, thanks for that, I really do appreciate the effort! It does seem like a normal boat trailer, which I have, should be sufficient due to the wooden keel giving a bit more support. I could probably modify the trailer a bit too.
