Tow tube with 25 hp?

Would a 25 hp outboard on a sib be able to pull a one person tow tube?

This is kind of a killing 2 birds with on stone idea because the tube would also be useful to get to the boat. In most of the beaches that I go to I have to anchor the boat 300 meters away from shore and can only come inside that to pick up or leave passengers. Given that, I would use the tube and a paddle to get to the boat because sometimes the water is too cold to swim that distance. This way I could pull more fun from my sib and wouldn't need to buy a kayak, witch is more expensive and harder to carry.

Silly idea or maybe possible?

Nice!

BTW, do you know if there's a way to attach the tow tube without drilling some holes in the transom?

DOne it with a 25hp 2 stroke on a 3.4m Rib, really for towing you need 3 spotter, driver and rider. depends how heavy the rider is and how heavy the spotter and driver are, on flat water I could get 100kg rider on a tube flat out, seen it done with zap cats but i think that had the race spec engine 40/50hp as for attaching the tow line if you have lifting davits either side of the transom make up a towing bridle or buy one

If you unscrew the eyelets and reverse them so the eyelets are on the outside - job done.
