Suzumar ds290 - Any good?

Hello I have been offered a Suzumar 290 for £250. Thought I would post here as I know nothing about SIB's and wanted to know if this was a good deal or not? Any opinions on Suzumar's? Photo attached, Motor is not included.

I once owned a Suzumar 290 AL ( Ally floor). it was a great little sib. I would advise you to buy it if its condition is ok.

Looks in good nick ,and at that price well worth it ,and a 290 with an alloy floor by the looks of it ,if it were me, id buy it.

Well that all sounds very encouraging then!!!

I have been told that it is rated up to a 8hp engine - will this move ok with a little engine like that?

The Suzumar 290 is rated to 10hp. I used a 9.8 twostroke Tohatsu on mine and it went very well.
