Suitable fish finder battery?

Looking for some advice on a suitable battery for a Garmin 300 colour fish finder.
Don't want to spend a fortune on a lithium battery, just a suitable fairly compact sealed battery that will see me through a weekend's fishing.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
I had been using a Deben 20amp/hr battery which I use for lamping foxes.
It's a bit big and bulky - but did see me through 6 straight days of fishing without recharging.

As you have it to use, I'd connect it up but with a multimeter in series to the +12V... set to the DC Amps setting. Get it running steady and read the number of amps its pulling (the manual reads like it'll be 1amp but I suspect its less than that an 1amp is a nice round number).

Multiply the steady amps x number of hours you want to run the boat for. Lets say 6hrs per day for 2 days - so 12. So you might get 12Ah.

A battery should never be run below 40% so you divide the 12Ah by 0.6 --> 20Ah battery. Something leisure like rather than engine cranking would be best.

Does you engine not have a power output that can top up a lower Ah battery?

The Deben 20 is a good battery. I use them too.

If its not giving you what you need then I'd be going to halfords and getting a small car battery.

I use a yucel 7 AH battery from maplins, it lasts a couple of days with my Lowrance. I just trickle charge it with an old 12V phone? charger.

That looks just the ticket.

Don't want a big bulky number!

I will look into it to see if 7AH is sufficient for my needs, cheers!
That well known internet site is full of battery options!

If that fall through, a lawn and garden battery works fine (used to run 2 handhelds, plus starting a 40hp 4-stroke.)
