stupid question

I am new to this , and not good with computers so . here goes . I do a saftey boat for our local yacht club and it is in need of repair ? but I cant find out if it is hyperlon or pvc , I have been searching this site but can only find one answer and it is not in english . the boat is a mako 4mt ser no is 960220. this has probaly been answered a thousand time BUT I DO NEED HELP ?

Hi,

I have had a Mako Catamaran which I bought to take the engine off and that was definately PVC.

It was labelled as a Mako Surfcat.

Hi Again,

I imported some Cats built to my own spec and bought the Mako to use the engine for one of mine so I could sell as a complete package and basically went over the Mako with a fine tooth combe to see the construction of it and just new by seeing it that it was made of 0.9mm PVC.

Hello,

When someone comes to my shop and is not sure wetheir its PVC or Hypalon I tell them to make the "scratch" test. If you scratch the fabric with your nail, it will leave a white mark on the Hypalon fabric and nothing on the PVC.

Also, Hypalon has a smooth texture, rubbery texture. On the opposite, PVC has a "bumpy" texture, if you look closely it is not a perfectly smooth texture.
