On a nice day I reckon - Lyminton yarmouth would fine - there is so much leisure traffic out between the two you are more likely to run over by a RIB than anything ! The current just outside Yarmouth can be stronger than you think - I just sit & watch the feirries head sideways fast when they leave the island. On a RIb at 25Knts + its nothing , but slow down & you can go a long way sideways pretty quickly . On a first trip I would want an escort . I bet if you posted on here there are numerous people in bigger boats that would cover you & if it all gets too much - just whack the SIB in tow & carry on................
