Nah, the seller says it’s leaking and needs gluing, so IMHO, It’s a bag of 💩
20 years old and someone naive could buy it thinking it’s a simple fix.

£850 for an aerotec with the transom starting to fail. Another advert where the seller is minimising the issue, making out its just some seams that need sealing.

I do fancy a go at one of these one day, but I do t thi k I'd want to spend more than £250.

What do we think is a fair price for a knackered one?

Do you mean you fancy a re-glue project one? Personally I reckon £250, as you mention, the very highest for one that immediately needs a full transom, and probably floor, job. And then like this one I'd want it to be otherwise sound with all accessories..... and ideally with its OE transom wheels.

As you say that seller is minimising the problem as it's clearly got to the point of a full transom off re-build.

If you fancy trying an Aerotec don't leave it too late. Mine, bought as new but a year old ex-display model, was the last year of proper production and is ten years old this year. The very oldest ones would be 26yrs old now.

I have done the transom on mine, upto about 300mm along the floor. I would be looking for around £500 for it, when and if I sell. It was a time consuming job but it wasn't to difficult if you follow the guide on here and think it through before hand (stands straps clamps are needed)

Tbh the floors the most important part of them, once they start to leak your backs up against the wall.

Overall, she is in excellent condition. She needs a good clean.
The airfloor holds pressure, but is very dirty and was a swine to clean.

The transom is sound and no signs of movment / becoming unbonded.

The only issue is the seam on the left side has become un-glued from just behind the centre, to the seam on one tube. Aprox 80cm.

There are a few small bits where the trim has started to come away from the top of the tube, but its only 1-2cm.

So ... Winter over and Ive been a busy bee. Ended up reglueing 3/4 of the entire floor ... didnt really need to do it, but as I started pulling the unbonded parts, I just decided to keep pulling !!! ...

Now looking at the Transom .. it didnt need attention immediatly, but ive managed to pust my fingers in between some of the bonds, and open them up ... so that is next on the list to do. I picked up a roller trailer, but need to make some bunks to support the boat (or ill have to wait until I can get it into the garden and put it on tressels).
Tubes have held air throughout the winter, and the air floor is still rock solid, so no concerns there.

Still havnt been able to source a decent motor.. The Little Tomos4 Ran continuously for 6 hours at a mix of throttle settings so im happy that she is now reliable, but Ideally I want a 10,15,18 or 20

So far, the little SIB owes me
£400 boat
£400 Trailer
£45 Engine
£100 glue, solvent, fuel
£150 for Carpet and 8x2's for the bunks
£30 Paint, Grease, Stainless Bolts for Trailer

Im looking to put £500 - 650 into a bigger engine, but will probably use the Tomos for Inland

I have seen this guy trying to sell one similar to mine at double the price for the last 12 months

I think he'll be waiting a bit longer...

Filthy unloved condition, "Zodiac" on the bow in marker pen, leaking air floor, transom falling off and black mastic daubed on in places to, you'd assume, cure other leaks. £849... total joke.

Be fair David, as he said "I had a couple of offers of £850 early on when I first listed it, which is really what I’m hoping to get" so it must be in good condition -

Notice he's not including the Beachmaster transom wheels that have obviously been fitted in the past.
