Not sure how the floor is set up re' tensioning?
looking at the humber site they are still made the same tried to copy the spec but wont let me download, but still marine ply boards large board at the stern and large inflatable keel as you say very tempting and a cracking boat if just setting up in sibbing with room to store it

Blimey! Looks like £5k + now with similar spec/extras to the eBay one.

http://www.humberinflatables.co.uk/i...price-list.pdf

They give weight as 44kg for the 3.5m - seems impossibly light with that spec?

http://www.humberinflatables.co.uk/i...ble-specs.html

Is there a thrust board with bottle jacks like the Y Class to tension the floor (more front to back of the ply I meant rather than the actual fabric floor)?

yep its worth buying just for that exact reason new price.
weight wise i think you're right my PVC boat weighs 120 kg 3.65m.
from memory the boards just fit under the stern transom plate and the toobs do the rest not a boat to keep setting up, boards were a pig to do.
ours would have been the 4m boat we trailered ours too heavy to carry.
there was a 5m one on ebay a while since around £2000

Cheers Jeff - still cannot figure that weight with heavier Hypalon and ply floor - an Aerotec is around 40kg I think??

A true killer bargain though - but twice I've come back to the idea of solid floor and twice sold - just does not work for me, as much as I would love this.

A very flat slammy bottom though compared to a Y would be the only reservation.

yep aerotec 43 kg i've not been in one so i can't offer any comparison but at work we have a SIT 5 m resicraft inflatable with a flat floor stitched in with rope and a sausage keel weighs in at 80kg the lot i assume its not the heaviest grade of hypalon as with the humber which looking at the humber doesn't have any detrimental effect on longevity.
regarding the hull they state a medium V which mine is and i'am quite happy with the ride especially since i use the 100 mm thick dog beds

that old avon looks like a little project if the price is right

Lovely old boat whatever these Avon's and Humbers.

Digressing but I'm very seriously coming to the idea of going back to a small RIB (SR4 most likely with a 40 2 smoke in the back) and keeping it in Eastbourne Harbour for the summer.

Running that alongside the Aerotec which I'd take down to Devon where most time is spent on the river.

Having incapacitated myself for nigh on two weeks with a ridiculously tiny issue triggering a longterm back weak point - meaning no boating in the best 2 weeks in June I can remember. Just finding it more and more of a struggle even with a lightweight SIB off the beach etc. It works fine on the Dart where we drop it on for the week and that's it.

If I had the boat in Eastbourne it would cost a lot but we could use it evenings or whenever with such ease. Money is one thing but you cannot replace time and I need to enjoy these pleasure while still fit enough to do so!

Nice. More than a touch of the SBS about that. Good easily stored size too.

This was my last RIB (SR 4.7m ex-mod, fisheries inspection - puncture proof tubes and all that):

Seller of that Humber will be well chuffed, he had a BIN of £550 and it ended up getting bid to £772.

Still a stonking bargain and a boat to last a lifetime.

Good luck! If all good then a bargain at that price - wheels and bag worth £200 if sold separately.

No lifts or peels around the transom, It'll need a dab of sikaflex here and there along a floor/tube joint. Low level patch to the bow, clean and in good order high pressure floor. Good spot Max 👍will report back on what all the fuss is about!
