So the limit is the height of the garage means only a short trailer will fit vertically? Is a trailer short enough to fit end up in garage long enough to carry the boat? I have seen many a dingy trailer (and dinghy) suspended from the roof of a garage with a basic hoist (many a dinghy club rescue sib likewise stored on the rafters with a simple pulley hoist.

SIB on a small (non boat specific) trailer

Very probably. Bought this recently off Memphis from this parish and think it was probably originally a jet ski trailer. Took off the blue bunks and made four new slightly longer ones. Now comfortably takes a 3.8m sib. Click image for larger version

Is it a SIB if so you could fit HDPE bunks good slip coefficient 30 MM thick around 100 for three bunks 2 m x 165 MM wide from direct plastics that's a cut down sheet 2 m x 500 MM .
