Sib naming

Hi all, long time since last post as in truth I don't know enough to give advice, but I do read most of the topics.
Anyway I have decided to name my 310 sti and was going to order a stick on name label but wow I was quoted £35 per label, so I was wondering can I just paint the tubes?

Maybe get a cheaper weather resistant vinyl die cut for the transom?

What is the name?

Yep that's what I do. You can get these from Ebay with lettering height to suit space available.

Of course it does depend on why you want the name displayed. For me it's just so I can ID it to someone... for example better than telling a harbour master I was paying for "the grey inflatable with black Suzuki" which could be one of many similar craft.

Wonder what you actually get for £35, as others have said standard vinyl letters should stick to the transom and should be cheaper.

I have painted it on my Sib buy making up a template and it has worked well for me, I don't think it looks bad!

The letters I've used have been self-adhesive and are on a backing so the name is pre-spaced.

Not "sibby mcsibface"?

If it's simple self-adhesive vinyl letters on the transom I've used a couple of layers of clear varnish to seal them against the element in the past
