SIB Lake Annecy

New to boating. Stayed at Le Lac Bleu campsite in Annecy last year and everyone seemed to have SIB/RIB/Boats. We're going back this year so I thought about getting a 3.8m SIB with a 5-10hp outboard.
Need a bit of help clarifying what paperwork I need, read various threads/forums and I think I need to :-

Register boat on SSR
Complete CEVNI
ICC (I have a RYAPowerboat 1, do I need to get level 2 to qualify for a ICC..?)
Obtain Insurance & extend cover to France.

All seems a lot for such a small boat but I guess the minority have spoilt it for the majority in the past and now they're clamping down...?

Thanks.....

Hi Andy

when were you there as I was there along with a couple (few) other guys in Bombard 380's during August?

All of the bits you state are required for the lake and I'm pretty sure you need level 2 for an ICC.

The lake police are pretty hot so it not worth scrimping.

I'll be back there this year too when are you going?

Al

Thanks for the help. We were there the last week of July, we then went on for two weeks in the med. However we enjoyed the week so much we've decided to stay there this year for all our holiday. (First two weeks of Aug)

See you there......
Andy

I love that lake. I have only stopped there on the way to skiing but always thought that I should do a camp there. Thats where the shooting was of the guys from england in their car. It ended up to be a family thing in the end if I remember rightly. I will look to take sib so will be watching this post to see what you need.

I'm going the last 2 weeks (arrive 16th) but the normal gang are going when you are there. They all stay on the route directly away from the pier and will most likely still be in Sib's so go and say Hi.

There should be Spencer and Warren there, Warren is on here as davenport5 so maybe PM im to make contact before you go?

We've booked a plot one back from the pier, same as last year. I'll look out for the clan and hopefully by next year I'll have the SSR/ICC/CEVNI/Ins/Blue flag oh and a SIB/Motor....!!!! We had excellent weather (too good to be true) last year, what's it been like for you over the years...? Andy

usually get about 4 to 5 good days ten some sort of a storm - it is up in the mountains after all!

I did the Parapente last year and dont think i've ever been more scared!!!!

Love it there cant imagine going anywhere else for summer holidays

if you are on the right as you walk towards the pier then you'll be right next to Spencer and his Bombard 380+ 25hp

Hi, slowly progressing on all the paperwork needed...!!! Looking through all the deals, what's the best starter combination (SIB size/make & motor) for the next couple years to see if we get on with 'boating' before investing in say a Bombard 380 & 25hp......????
