Based on opinions from here, my SIB is insured through Porthcawl Brokers.

When I had my SIB, I had it insured. Not so much for replacement or damage repair costs, but for the liability. Never had to use it, but figured it was good to have.

Yeh they have been great when I used to have my SIB Paid out no issues when I flipped it too.

My house insurance is with Norwich Union & they have a small craft additional section so I added my SIB on very cheaply.
