Check the links for full details - but it appears to cover the entire French canal and river system - not sure about lakes...like here maybe they are seperate??

We went to Lake Annecy back in early June but didn't take the boat. After seeing how beautiful the lake is we want to go back and take our boat next year.

I'm doing my PB2 course next week and then i'll apply for my ICC. As you have experience of boating on Lake Annecy is there anything else I should look out for? Did you launch your boat each day or did you leave it on the lake?

Cheers and I'm very jealous!!!!

we stay at Le La Bleu camp site in Doussard and you can launch off of their 'beach' FOC if you are staying there.

Bienvenue au Camping International du Lac bleu

There is a public slipway next door at the marina too.

Deffo need PB2, ICC, CEVI, Insurance, SSR, you must carry a copy of the lake regulations with you at all times, must fly a lake specific blue water ski flag if towing and last year the lake police started to impose the need for flares to some of the larger boats but i'm not sure if they be imposing that on sibs.

fantastic place to stay/ski/boat - couldnt recommend it highly enough

Cheers, that's perfect. We'd just been talking about it last week and then I saw your post.

Thanks again. :-)

I'm down at Doussard, Lake Annecy, on the 4th August. We are taking our 4 metre Valiant Rib with 40hp. We are staying at LaRavoire Campsite. I have got insurance, SSR, I have a ski boat driver. What else will I need to do or take to comply with the local boating regulations - I've done all my power boat, safety boat and PWC courses, but 20 years ago and the RYA no longer have records!

We have paid for a mooring at the marina, to save the hassle of launching each time, as we are going in our VW California.

And anything else about the area - places to visit, things to do, Good restaurants....etc

As Bongy has said you need your ICC, insurance, SSR, flares and a copy of the lake regulations. The lake Police are really hot on all these.

Hey Warren not long now!!!!

Oli - Annecy Markets are a must but I havent done too many restaurants as we are more BBQ/cook outside types

Thone is a nice place with a weekly market thats good too.

Annecy has a massive firework display the day you arrive

Mont Blanc isnt far away bit we love the lake that I've never made it there in the last 2 years!!

The lake is so good that you never want to be away from it if you can

Youre close to us (Davenport5, one other & me) so look out for 3 Bombard 380s out on the lake together. What type colour Rib do you have - any distinguishing things we should look out for

Thanks for the replies. My valiant rib is light grey, with a 40 mariner on the back.

I have sorted my ICC out, via the British water ski club, who I have a ski boat driver award with. All I need to do now is my CEVNI, any recommendations who t take it with online?
