Sheep nibble

I know rodents can be a problem during storage BUT has anyone had any experience of sheep nibble to SIBS??

Whilst on certain trips, I will have to leave SIB overnight in the proximity of sheep. Last year I caught a sheep having a wee nibble on the rope on an inflatable canoe. I have never really been worried before but seeing as new SIB cost nearly £2000, its become a concern.

Will sheep nibble? What about goats - they eat anything/everything???

I kept a classic car I was restoring on a farm that had 2 goats a long time ago. Completely destroyed the roof lining, door panels, engine bay insulation etc, pretty much anything that's not steel

I leave a 1960's Hypalon Avon SIB on the sea shore in Scotland for a couple of weeks a year. Never had a problem and there are plenty of sheep about.

WillK > "I shouldn't worry about the sheep."

Thats a fair puckle of sheep onboard there WillK - is that you/yours??

Excellent! Thanks chaps, thats just what I wanted to read. Saves me having to drag boat back up into fenced garden every night. We are popping over to west coast in easter but I am guessing sheep will be too busy dropping young everywhere to worry about my boat anyway.

However, I shall scan the horizon for goats continually with my night vision goggles. They are out there somewhere, watching... waiting.... forever munching.

Are you allowed to shoot goats with a crossbow if they are caught nibbling on an aerotec??

Welsh seafari???? I'd be keen on booking a trip IF there are WELSH pasties onboard (not your horrible Cornish jobs ). Sheeps just not enough for a Welshman.

Boat + sheep + pasties = happy Cambrian.

I’m sure an Avon will be fine around British sheep, however I’m also sure an Avon put in a field of French sheep would get burnt to the ground in some sort of protest because French sheep will only eat a Zodiac.

Nasher.

Yup, inferior French sheep are all about the protesting and seem to do nothing besides. My boat is a bombard/zodiac so its French made, however, it should be ok in the proximity of proper British sheep due to their high levels of apathy.

Still, if ANY sheep lay one tooth on my boat: "With bright knives he releaseth my soul, He maketh me hang on hooks in high places, he converteth me to lamb cutlets. For lo, he hath great power and great hunger."

Shish kebab anyone?

Well if Its Mellon Beach you're worried about .. just tell me how many rounds per minute I can dispense from the machine gun nest in the dunes

That should keep the beggars at bay .... now what about the sheep ? .....

I always wondered where they came from! It's fitting that, like Plots, they are Hatched. I guess their mothers come off the Pillbox for the season. Do yis bring them on in Coup d'états?

I just got a mental image of a Military Coup in the west of Scotland. It was an Aberdeen Angus wearing a camo jacket and helmet, à la the wikings...
