Hi Alforsea

Welcome to Ribnet - you will get loads of help and support from the chaps here

We launch from Itchenor (Chichester Harbour) but check the rules regarding what can be fished and when - think I read it's a Bass breeding ground.

The harbour entrance can be interesting but there is a cracking site that has the weather direct from the Chichester Bar (www.chimet.co.uk) which gives you a great idea as to what is going on at the harbour entrance before you get there.

The other place we have launched - this time our SIB - is at Littlehampton - cracking new slip - you do have to pay Harbour fees but then you have the choice pottering up river to Arundel for lunch at the Black Rabbit or out to sea for fishing - we usually combine them each trip

I'm still learning myself - and it was one of the guys here that suggested Itchenor as a good launching site (harbour fees again) we are very new to RIB's - but Littlehampton felt very safe for our SIB - as you can enjoy yourself and stay safe on the river if the swell turns out to be too much

Take care

Jean
