Give Maximus a PM they use Oban caravan park every year and use the nearby Puffin Divers slip

Oban camping site does both Camping and Statics...as well as Lodges (our fav) and of late Pods....good site with shop ect...
Oban is a really good base for Highlands and Islands with plenty to do in the area if the weather doesn't play ball.
Easdale...Iona...Sattfa...Tobermory...Mull...Corri e...Jura ect....and PLENTY of other destinations all do-able on day/half day jaunts
Sky Rum ect all within reach too if the conditions are good...or you want an overnighter

I cannot understand why foreigners are allowed to buy bits of the UK.
Are you allowed on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Liner's land as you are in the rest of the Highlands?

Never say never...but it made sense last year, when I left the RIB at Puffin for the Spring Bank Holiday...25 Easy Jet flights from Bristol do take some beating Billy...talk is of scheduled flights from Glasgow to Oban next year too....although I do enjoy that drive!....I'm sure it'll do wonders for the Buisness community though.
Up to Edinburgh in a few weeks again for Christmas shopping....seems I've made a Rod for my own back!

There's a very large caravan site at ardmucknish bay , slipway and they did have pontoons a few years ago lot of fishermen use it ,worth Google earthing to see if there's statics ideal for the breeda large wreck in the bay not far from dunstaffnage marina good slip handy to leave the boat in there too plenty of crusing from there.

Cheers

>>>re you allowed on Sheikh Mohammed's land

I guess so, we did a close slow cruise of the house and there were no armed intercept RIBs.

Cracking free slip at Flowerdale (Gairloch) Good for most of the tide and very sheltered. Loads of parking and pontoons if the tide is not right or you want to leave it in. Highland Councils own the pontoons and do some excellent deals for for shot stays..........and the harbour master's a star
