Perhaps I've got false memory of it Max... anyway...

Thoughts on this guys for my air floor??

Swimming Pool Matting - PVC Anti-Fungal - 4mm Thick - 1.2m Wide | eBay

I only want one of the draining grid types if I get anything and in truth as much as to protect the air floor it's for cosmetic improvement as I find it impossible to get the old dirt out of a 10yr old air floor (the Zodiacs had a very gritty texture from new) and it lets the overall look down.

Ha ha I'm a bit fussy too and tried some flatter stuff in a previous wood floor SIB which was fine but found the air floors have slight curves (even the flat ones) that do cause wrinkles. I've found the grid type is more able to flex with the floor undulations. Also where you need to cut out for tank straps or valves etc I find I can do it easier cutting along the edge of the grid lines.

Just a personal thing... it all does the job. Think I'll order the pool stuff I linked and report back.
