Its aways an issue as it is in reality just a bit of a Jolly.....so sponsorship is an odd concept..however I would suggest we all think about just givethe value of a tank of petrol (each) to them as a one off for the day ? We can always present it from RIBNet even ?

Added to plan & s'sheet - when all is clearer I am sure parking /trailers will be accomodated.

mmm... I'd suggest you might want to discuss that with the administrators before doing that - I know at least one of the Admins has quite strong views that the RNLI don't need your money as much as the small Independents (and your proposed trip is in the heart of Independent Lifeboat Country). Anything explicitly mentioning Ribnet probably needs run past Social Knowledge as its their "image" you are representing.

Personally I'm not sure why any "jolly" / "trip" needs to be about raising money for charity. In "sib" terms its going to be relatively expensive for you anyway, so adding a feeling of duty to donate another 40 to charity might put people off.

I think it is a good name - but in fairness I think the first person to coin it was possibly Keith (probably also the inventor of the "word" SIB) Hart way back in 2002!
