Toby, you started this one, where are you? I know you were logged on last night!!! my spies are out.

We could have another 1000 view winner here for the SOC w/end
or perhaps we should realy award the prize after the round britain trip - you know it makes sense

sorry chaps, have been working 24/7 on a clasic 12m race yacht off late so have neglected this a little.

It looks like I am going to have to postpone untill next year, or late in the summer, which is a bugger. Plans are still afoot as I am very keen to do the trip but due to finances and time i think am going to have to put off for a while.

Touch wood, and fingers crossed am going to get zapcat soon to race this season, going through the sponsorship process at the moment and there is light at the end off the tunnel. This is one reason for postponement of RBI.

Have thought about zapcat around GBR but get to many nightmares, plus prefer NOT to have my spine shortened by 2 inches if I can help it.

If any one is looking for an inflatable, there is a gemini for sale that is the same model as the one we were going to take. One, I think off only 2 or 3 in the country. Fantastice boats, was for sale with Paul Lemmer.

Any other zap cat owners on this site?

Has any one had experiance with these new big four strokes yet (200/225 HP)?

Looking forward to cardiff, my grans even baking one of her legandry baking fruit cakes for the S of C team.

Toby

Is your gran coming to Cardiff too..the more the merrier?
I think it is lovely that she is making them a cake - there should be more grans in the world like that.

Anyway, keep us up to date with your plans re Round Britain - as you can see you have created alot of interest - good on ya.

Hi Toby

i don't have a ZapCat - but a Tomkat

About the same size, but with a 2 seat console - a bit like a jet bike - but definately a RIB!!

So at speed it planes on the 2 outer tubes - 30HP and about 30 MPH @ WOT

Had a look at the ZapCat @ the London Boat Show - looks fun, and I would like to go to some of the events - so keep us posted!!

Again don't know of anybody else with a TomKat - I think they went out of buisness - but hopefully you will see it out and about later in the year!

Had a quick look at the soc thread, looks like there is going to be a fair gathering.

Unfortunatly my gran is not going to be able to make it to Cardiff, but i just got an email to say that the cake is ready and resting.

Think i have seen one of those tom kats, have you got a picture? I think the first zap cat race is in newquay in may, not sure about the rest but there will be 12 races this year. www.zapcat.co.uk for more info.

Toby
