Great day out on the river yesterday, great scenery heading from chester through Aldford, to Farndon.
A few canoes but very few boats out, was anyone from ribnet out in a seapro sib with mercury outboard?

Sent from my xoom using Rib.net

Hi mate,

Do you have the annual licence from Chester council? If so, how much are they charging this year?

I haven't got an annual licence but all details are on the council website, I think I read that an annual licence is around £90ish or about £20 for a day ticket.
I spoke to other guys who launch there and they all said the warden only checks permits from may onwards, I did see the wardens patrol boat but didn't have to pay this time, although I think I'll pay the annual fee as its not far to travel to Chester

Did you stop off at the grosvenor arms? They used to do some good food in there, and the beer wasn't bad either

I lived in chester for 10 years, had some good times in Rosies & number 15 etc. We always used to finish up the night with some good old fashioned food poisoning from Chicoland as it was on the way back to Hoole. Other fast food outlets are available.

Didn't go into the grosvenor this time, but it's on the plan for my next trip out on the Dee

I don't live in Chester, I'm in Warrington but can confirm we have had some classy chicoland type of places that are only open the hours when everyone's wasted (for good reason)
