Right material to cover sib floor?

I am thinking about getting a layer of something to cover the floor of my sib. The idea is to prevent from scraping the wood, give more traction and make it look nicer.
Any suggestions as to what materials should I be looking into?

Any carpet non porous or slippery rubber material when wet trimmed to floor size, can even be glued on top floor if sib will happpen to remain and trasported inflated as with a trailer.

I won't glue it to the floor because I still need to fold the boat. Do you think that if i stick it between the aluminum frame and the tubes it will hold nicely?

Will hold in nicely if sticking in between tubes and alum side joiners before sib is fully inflated, but must necessarily be a thin rubber, plastic carpet like to fit snugly.

I covered my aluminium floored Honwave with foam batting from screwfix. The best mod I have made and it only cost a pittance

I saw your thread. It looks great mate! But I think that in my case the holes would look weird over the orange wood floor.

Functionality over aesthetics wins the day for me every time.
Without a doubt it doesn't add to the aesthetic appeal of my Sib either.
But I would not be without my beloved rubberised foam floor now.
Once its measured and cut to size 45 seconds removes it after use!

I have never seen those with the holes for sale in here. I have seen the plain ones. When I get to the hardware shop I'll see if those exist in here and maybe I'll give them a try.

Its sold by screwfix as pool matting and for playground use by Screwfix UK.
Mottez foam matting as I recall.
I have used alternatives but this has proved its worth this season as the best all round Sib floor Sib covering.

Thanks for the picture as were planning to drive to Gibraltar after the summer, with a couple or three of stops, Sib will be stopping at home though

Good job the sib is staying at home, you would get it confiscated trying to get it into Gib. The rules are aimed at stopping drug runners, but they apply them to everyone.

The pile of cut up inflatables, ribs and engines in the Marine Police compound is enough to make a grown man cry.

I drive down there a couple of times a year, its 2000 miles door to door for me and usually do it over 3 days and 2 night stops.

I didn't know about that. I've only been to Gibraltar once and the border was in fact pretty tight. It's a very nice place though. Do you have family there?

Yep, brother lives there and has a house on Queensway Quay. Boarder is terrible at the moment, 3 to 4 hour wait isnt uncommon.
