Rib,Sib,and a Tender

Another great weekend in the Lake District with Mick,Hadd, and Neil.

Ullswaters a great location this time of year, not many use the lake so book a campsite and go enjoy yourselves.
We recommend the Quiet site its open all year cost £17.00 a night with electric hookup, ideal for tents, motor homes, and caravans the slipway at Glenridding is a 10 minute drive away with easy access and parking on the waters edge.

The Quiet Site - Campsite, Caravan Site, Motorhomes, Camping Pods, Holiday Cottages

Is the 10 knot limit still enforced all year round?

Oh really? I didn't know this. I've had a Google around all the byelaws for Windermere and the lake district in general and can't find anything other than no vessel shall exceed 10 knots, unless you're trying for the speed record on Coniston Water!

Where did you find this?
What date ranges count as winter?

Rib,Sib,and a Tender

Put it this way blootac if there's no one around to enforce it who's going to stop you

We've been there in November for the last 3 years and each time we've put the boats in apart from the odd kayak and the paddle steamer we've had the lake to ourselves
We don't make a load of noise or tear up and down all day so be sensible and enjoy it.

Just head to Glenridding great for launching plus a decent car park for cars and trailers think it was about £3 for the day

Just pull up where ever you like

Absolutely mowed out with extra hours Matt in the twenty years of being a council waller I have never had this much overtime before working for another part of social services.

Up to now I'm 1k up for Nov and the months not over yet so I ain't going to turn my nose up at it, might not ever get it again.

Happy days
