Prowave 360 ?

Hi Guys does anyone own or have any experance of the prowave sibs?
I'm looking at the 360 seems like a good deal with wheels and seat bags thrown in.

I was looking to power it with a Honda 5hp or a Tohatsu 6hp any comments on which outboard would be better and would I notice the extra 1hp on this boat?

Thanks for any help Chris

I don't know anything about Prowave Inflatables specifically, but it looks like they are another generic import. Maybe good, maybe bad, difficult to tell without seeing the boats first. At best they're likely to be similar to Quicksilver inflatables, but cheaper.

The 360 that you're looking at is an Airdeck, with a flat floor and inflatable keel. These tend to be a bit floppy in anything but the best conditions, and are more of a compromise than the inflatable V-floor design used by the Bombard Aerotec and the Honwave boats. If you want to put the max hp on it then the 380 with the Aluminium floor will probably perform better, but is much heavier and may be a pain to assemble.

Price looks OK.

I wish my Honwave had internal tube compensation valves and pressure security valves.

- When mooring, in bad weather, usually other boats slip their anchor (in Spanish the word is "garrear"). When they are near another boat, if they keep their outboards tilted up, they hit boats like a knife with the engine.

- Another dangerous situation is in the summer, when you let your boat at the beach sand (the word in Spanish is "varar"). The air inside the tubes may get very hot, and the extra pressure can crack your tubes.

In both situations, security valves help your tubes not to crack.

Sorry for my English.

Prowave Rocks!

Live in Berkshire and recently purchased a Prowave 4.2 meter inflatable keel, aluminium floor.

Used >50 times on the sea and Thames and very pleased so far.

On the Thames - she sits comfortably and stable. The user-friendly oars allow for a quiet cruise up and down the river.

On the sea - she rides the waves well and my Yamaha 28HP 2-stroke provides plenty of power to pull a tube behind.

Whilst cruising near the Needles last week - the sea suddenly threw >2mt waves at us but she rode them well with little water taken on board and all 7 passengers felt safe.

Jonathan - the guy who sold me the inflatable - provides excellent after-sales support and advice.

I like the boat and have had plenty fun on her!

That Prowave 320 spec is amazing, every single detail covered, even two seats as standard. See they do the accs pack with two seat bags, full cover and launch wheels for just £99. Add that in and you have a brilliant boat package for £700 that would be £1100+ if a Honda.

I have no idea what the quality comparison is and if it's worth the saving though.

Another thing is their website gives every possible detail on the boats so you know exactly how they're made and what you get. You must be only 30mls from the UK supplier of Prowaves... why not arrange to go and see them?

You are right we are 30ish mile away and frequently launch and use Cardiff bay ( Which makes it even more supprising that we havent seen or come accross any Prowaves )

I am going to Southampton boat show on Monday to see what else is available first before we contact them.

Ive had 2 prowaves now.

Got the 320 airdeck first then upgraded to the Ali floor 380.

Both have been brilliant and the aftersales advice and customer care cant be faulted
