Place To Go

Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first SIB, honwave T40 with Honda BF20, thinking to try it first in the river, before using it to sea fishing. i live near heathrow, any recomendations where is the best place that i will enjoy my first ride. This will be my first ever to be on SIB.
Whats d best thing to do to break in a brand new motor. Thanks alot.

Welcome to the forum. Nice outfit.

I don't know boating in your area so will leave that advice to others. Re running in just do it by the handbook guidance. What I will say though is most inland rivers have speed limits such that it will be hard to run in a 20hp properly because plodding along at a constant low speed is not good running in practice.

Thames is just around the corner from you but as said before there is a speed limit and locks.

try www.boatlaunch.com . Zoom to the area you're interested, click on the flags to find more details of slipways. Plenty of nice places to use a small boat if only you can find a place to launch.
