It doesn't get much better than that - not many days here with the sea that flat, at least they never seem to coincide with an opportunity to get off work and go out!

Yeah couldn't have been better mate! No onshore winds in winter poss? Would love to forever be a student and juggle my time around but got to pay for these toys somehow

Great pictures mate and good vid. I was in New Zealand for nine months based in Auckland back in 88/89 and loved it and loved the people... Keep those pictures coming mate. ATB. Mark

Glad you enjoyed mark. The fishing in Auckland then should have been fairly awesome if you got a chance?!

It's a bit shakier and colder down south so we have to search a bit more for those warmer fish (snapper, trevelly, gurnard) but on the other hand blue cod's good eating.

Will defs keep you all posted on next few trips, hoping to hit up kaikoura (whales and dolphins) and also the abel tasman (my pics from when I last kayaked it).

For now I'll just have to enjoy the Rugby world cup in my back yard eh
