I've had that problem before in my Futura - you find yourself running at full throttle to keep up with large ribs at cruising speed.

Thought that may be the case...... Oh well full throttle it will have to be then.... Lol

Roughly what speed can you get out of your futura. (cruising and max)

regarding the RYA powerboat course, contact the weaver S.C. BASED nr you at Frodsham have a couple of Instructors I believe. Local lads to you.

Thanks jake, I'll look into it, I required and got basic details last year and I think it's a chap called Guy who does the training on Manley mere

Cruises comfortably with two adults and two children at 15kts, top speed I've recorded on GPS with two adults is 24kts.

That's the 4.2m Futura Fastroller with a 2 stroke Yamaha 20hp.

Thanks for that, mines a mk2 futura fastroller 3.8m with 25hp so I expect cruising speed will be similar
