new sib

hi there looking for a 5mtr sib selling a 5.5mtr rib and are going to a sib as we no longer have a 4x4 any ideas been looking at an avon or such like, buying with our freinds and so need to have an engine to shift 4 divers and kit.
needs to be strong and able to go out with 4x4 divers at least. Not going far off shore.
Q can 4 adults push into water on trailer? (of course not a steep slip!!!)
Q Makes and engine size needed ?
Q cost... any ideas on second hand or new?
Q web sites to look at?
please help all ideas are welcome.

Their is also a 5.3m version of this boat.

A If you fit launching wheels, 2 people could easily launch and recover it.

A Mine is rated for up to 80hp, but the Yamaha 40 pushes it along quite nicely with 3-4 people and moderate gear. While it can be inflated & deflated with each use and loaded in a pickup truck, a flat deck trailer is far more convenient.

A About 1/2 the price of a Zodiac Futura Commando 470. The Gemini is simpler in design but much better built and with a far more efficient hull design.

Before my purchase, I did alot of research and looked at dozens of different SIBS from various manufacturers (I also own a couple of zodiac SIBs - one from the recreational line, the other from their mil-pro line) and have yet to see another SIB built anywhere near as well as this one. It also rides more smoothly than any 16 foot or shorter hardhull that I've ridden in.

Hi, I am certain we can help you out with this. We set up SIBs for divers, response services and organisations.

4 Adults can indeed handle a 5m soft boat on a trailer.
A lightly loaded 5m SIB will plane with an 18HP motor, most will take 40HP+ though.
Our 5.3m Quicksilvers are on sale at 1900.00 but we offer plenty of extras for RIB.net users.

Please have a look and then get in touch, Martin
