You have the classic lightweight OB for a small SIB.... and you rarely hear anything bad on here about Excel. So a decent purchase. Chuck up some pics when you've had it on the water... we like pictures.

It really was a good find, the seller had put less than 10hrs on the engine & inflatable from new, they were both dry stored in a large double garage. I will take them to Abersoch where we have our caravan, it should get lots of use now and I'm hoping to be on the water next Monday

Well done again. Have a look at the gear lube and possible change it if it is old only takes a moment

Have had a few good days out in the Excel and it's been great fun for all the family, my nephew is in the photo and he managed 20mph on his GPS app

I also get about 20mph on GPS and that seems quite fast. Now fitting an old depth finder/fish finder to the transom because I cant get used to not kn0owing the depth of water. This is an old one I had so no cost involved

Same setup as me. I haven't launched at abersoch before but like the idea of going around the islands. Do you just launch it off the main beach then?
