sibs are growing

Last year when I was looking at buying a boat and started to ask questions about inflatable’s couple of the dealers said that there sales doubled. We are starting to realize that we don't need a ton of f/glass on the water. With gas going up 100% in just two summers I figure that in two more years sib boats with small 10-20hp will keep on growing. Four years ago I don't remember one sib/rib on the lake now you constantly wave at a new one going by. Lots of these people say one of the reasons they went with a sib was they thought it was more environmentally friendly. Canada is starting to change for the better I think. Great to read comments on this sight and see what others are doing with there sibs/ribs.

What a big surprise, finally the so long waited SIB section, thanks John and all the Ribnetters that made it possible with their invaluable threads & posts.

Bravo!!

Just a comment: Instead of Inflatable Boats talk, why not change to a more appropiate:

Sibs & Sibbing
Soft Inflatable Boats. A whole day of fun for £20 of petrol

Happy Sibbing

I had been contemplating having a SIB section for a while, but until recently there didn't seem to be the volume of posts to justify it. It's certainly busy enough now though!

I think I'll keep it as "inflatable boats" for now as everyone knows what they are and it should make things easy for people to find the site.

I've just had a look and RIBnet comes up fourth on Google for "inflatable boat" which surprised me - didn't think we'd be anywhere near that high!
