Prairies Tuber's Gemini Dive 470 is an awesomely well built boat with huge diameter sponsons, the surf 420 sponsons aren't as big and so I do find myself sat on the floor in anything other than the flattest of seas..
Footstraps can help if you want to sit on the tubes. I don't kneel in the boat, but find that sitting with my back against a sponsom, my feet are well placed to brace against the other. I find this secure and comfortable for long periods (4-5hrs). Wouldn't recommend it if you have a stiff neck though.
Toby B sat in his grx in a similar manner in some beautiful waves...
