Prairies Tuber's Gemini Dive 470 is an awesomely well built boat with huge diameter sponsons, the surf 420 sponsons aren't as big and so I do find myself sat on the floor in anything other than the flattest of seas..

Footstraps can help if you want to sit on the tubes. I don't kneel in the boat, but find that sitting with my back against a sponsom, my feet are well placed to brace against the other. I find this secure and comfortable for long periods (4-5hrs). Wouldn't recommend it if you have a stiff neck though.

Toby B sat in his grx in a similar manner in some beautiful waves...

Have a look here for info on Poole Harbour:

http://www.phc.co.uk/Download.htm

Details of the harbour bye laws, dues etc are on this page, towards the bottom.

There is also a useful map / guide here:

http://www.phc.co.uk/guide.htm

Try here for places to launch:

http://www.boatlaunch.co.uk/default....ay&nodeid=2503

Someone on here with local knowledge will probably be able to recommend the best places.

Cheers

Chris
