So, Does sea water flood in your RIB into a heavy gale?

Andrew,

He had lots of water in the boat and lots of bits of his boat in the sea. I had just upgraded from the same boat to a larger one and was glad of it that day.

To be fair to Nos it was blowing at least a Force 6 and probably higher where he was. Quite a few RIBs had to turn back, that included some bigger ones.

I think it was a case of the boat punching its way through the wave which was also being helped along by the high winds. It was probably 1 meter plus waves but I'll let Nos fill you in on all the details. What he's really getting at is even if a RIB fills with water, as long as you have power its pretty easy to empty it as they usually have two large holes in the back which can let the water out quickly. And if you get horribly swamped and totally full of water the tubes will still keep you afloat.

Andrew

I did the same and looked up Korsar Komandor. Google came up with lots of sites for Korsar Komandor. The beauty of Google is that you can even get it to translate what is featured. I see that Korsar also make ribs.

Here are a few pictures of the Korsar Roger 6 mtr which I have lifted from the site. Price just over £6K. I guess without engine.

Don't think much of the seating

the web address is:
http://www.korsar.spb.ru/
sadly only in Russian but going via Google you get the same but in English
