Same for me, but back the weekend after.

Re campsites.
Waterside House is still very much a working farm, small number of EHU, basic toilets and showers, small shop and a burger van. However its slightly cheaper than Park Foot, you can camp right on the waters edge and you can launch a sib anywhere along the site but be careful, at the North end it stays shallow for a fair distance out in the lake. If launching a big boat you need to borrow the trailer extension from the shop.

Park Foot
A well developed campsite, large shop, pub, modern toilets/showers, kids play area etc. Camping is on both sides of the road so you need the lake field with a boat. Access to the water is by a short lane, launch site is good, the owner has dug a ' hole' for bigger boats to launch into and the fence can be used as a makeshift jetty.

Both sites are nice but are very different. If im just taking the sib and my son I prefer Waterside house, you cant beat actually camping on the beach. But if Wifey is coming or im taking a bigger boat I stay at Park Foot, the facilities are much better.

The sites are next to each other and Pooley Bridge is about a mile away along the lake path, 3 pubs, cafe and shop etc, Its a great place to boat, my dad says it reminds him of Windermere in the 70's, very simple and few big boats.

You don't need to show anything at ParkFoot, just turn up and launch.

My new Honwave was delivered today but its damaged, looks like it was kicked all the way here.

That's really bad news, gutted for you. Hope the dealer sorts it out quickly.
