I run a mariner 25hp on a Yam 380s and Mariner 20hp on a Zodiac MK ll Classic, both are shimmed.
Handing is an issue with or without a bad shoulder, I use a mobile trolley and lift the final bit.
When I swap the engines round on the boats I do notice a difference in performance and grin width thus the 25hp mostly comes out to play!

I have a 25HP Mercury, it is heavy and difficult to move, however, I have a Rooteq trolley, which, although not perhaps the strongest, is lightweight and allows me to keep the motor on the trolley from the quay side even I the boot of the car, right to the storage point in my garden, so this really helps.

Now were using the nearly new Tohatsu 25/30 and I hand ball it from the garage to the back of the car, have come up with this little device to save the skeg.

Its made from some oak I had lying around with a strap off something. I leave it on in the car and only remove it once its on the transom,,, does the job.
