It's a bit naughty but I and many other people with small sibs launch on the west side of the lake opposite the islands.

You can easily park by the waters edge and throw the boat in.

Windermere renewal this yr is 15, only pay for launch if using ferry nab/public slip, if you're staying at a lakeside campsite usually 0. Can usually tell when it's after 18:00 as sound of v8 wake boats going over 10mph gets quite noticeable...

give loch ken a try been going there for years now . not far from Ayrshire either beamishken

Thanks for that, someone else has already mentioned Loch Ken and i will go in April. I am going to Loch Earn in early March then further North to Bunree Caravan Club site near Onich after that then loch Ken

Where is the slip on this lake, looked on google earth, can't see it
