Keel Tube partially detached - Zodiac Futura MKI

I'm trying to determine if i need to glue/re-glue the keel tube on my MKI Futura. I bought it used last year, and at the end of the season, while disassembling it, I noticed that the keel tube was only glued 2/3 of its length. The foremost 1/3 of the tube is detached from the floor.

Should the keel tube be glued down all the way to the front of the keel? Or is it intentionally detached to allow it to float into position while inflating?

I was about to start gluing, but I'd like to know for sure before I do so.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for the response.

After thoroughly inspecting the floor and underside of the keel tube without finding any traces of old adhesive, I decided that it must be intentionally loose.

Looking forward to a summer on the water.
