Looks like a great set up. One advantage of this SIB over a larger RIB such as a 733 Hurricane that you can navigate it along riverways that would be inaccessible with a larger RIB. The fabric bottom could deal with rapids much better than a fiberglass or most aluminum hulls could. By the way, that Defender 90 is also very cool. They may be a common site for the UK readers, but they are pretty rare in North America. Discos aplenty, but not many proper Landrovers (Defenders & Series models).

Good eye with regards to the Defender 90...here is Canada there was only ever 87 imported and only in 1994. The defender is a NAS spec...much different than the ones from across the pond! Makes a nice package when towing the MK IV...i get comments like.

"Are you getting ready for the end of the world?"

Thanks again.

I had spotted that, sweet ride, NAS90? Like the long haired Mouse Hound too

EDIT, oh, you beat me to it on the NAS ;-)

It is one of very, very few models of 4x4s that would tempt me to let go of my Nissan Patrol GQ (4.2L diesel) in order to obtain. Gladenwagons & Unimogs also come to mind.

Nice! those Nissans are sweet! A diesel is a bonus...unfortunately, the NAS 90 is an aluminum v8...would love to drop a 300tdi in it.

A unimog would also be nice to add to the toys, maybe if i get the 733 Hurricane!

It's actually a Safari (24 volt version of the Patrol). The 24 volt system is quite beneficial during the winter here. I imagine the V8 can be thirsty, but I'll bet it goes like a cut snake! Unfortunately my diesel is naturally aspirated (for the time being). It does 0 to 100 km/h (and not much more!)

You WANT to do 0-60 in 18 seconds? I have a TDi300 in a 1997 110. Trust me, hold on to your V8

EDIT: But if you wanna swap, throw in the cat and you have a deal.

HA! I know i have heard that...those 110 diesels go for huge dollars here: If it was left hand drive, they go for as much as $60,000 CDN on average about $35,000 in fair condition. that's for a 15 year old one...the newest we can import!

I would love one, 1995 - 110 diesel - galvanized frame / left-hand drive - no rust if possible (ha).

oh, no deal on the cat!

If you don't mind a right hand drive, your odds of finding a nice 110 TD3 will be much better. Right hand drives are very quick & easy to get used to, and after driving an RHD for a while you may find it preferable to LHD.

I could for sure adjust to the RHD...it's just the resale value. I could never seem to hold on to any toy for that long...it's my sickness and i am trying to deal with it. So, i bought a Zodiac. Ha! Now i have 2 money pits...Defender / Zodiac!
