Blimey - you must shop at Fortnum and Masons! We do it for about £5 - £10.

I wasn't really planning on thread drifting this. I was suggesting that I didn't want to pay £50 for what to me amounted to third party insurance because chances are an excess on my boat would negate any saving. I'm not opposed to 3rd party insurance - I just think if people haven't worried about insurance till they are planning to launch they probably don't consider the risk of theft or damage an issue - yet the standard list of insurers don't seem too cheap for 3rd party only. Thats all I was trying to say.

There are lots of things in this world that aren't insured. Plenty don't even insure their house contents! But bikes are a very good example. If you are thinking we should all have mandated insurance on boats then are we doing the same on bikes?

If motor bikes yes, as in motor boats.

Shiny shoe, you are right I have left it a bit late ,but I have been working 7 days aweek up till now, should have done it a month ago,but now I have a week off and the weather warming up I thought its time to get afloat, all I want is third party cover, you never know who's about there could be some one under Neath you.If some one nicks the boat I shall just have to save up for another one.
